Abstract
The Schedule of Recent Experiences Questionnaire, providing a quantification of individual life changes, and a list of 16 academic and job-related performance criteria were administered to 105 graduate and undergraduate student volunteers. Of 624 Pearsonian correlations, 42 were significant (p ≤ .02). A weighted total life-change score was significantly related to 4 of the 16 performance criteria, including personal injury or illness, number of jobs previously held, number of promotions received and number of raises received.
