The effect of systematic desensitization on anger in response to treatment related and non-treatment-related items on the Reaction Inventory was studied 6 mo. following systematic desensitization or no treatment. 6 mo. after treatment, the treatment group had maintained reduction in anger, whereas, the no-treatment group showed no change in anger to the treatment and non-treatment-related items.
