42 freshman nursing students enrolled in a 3-yr. diploma program were tested on a battery of achievement/aptitude, demographic and personality measures. Product-moment correlations and multiple linear regression were utilized to assess relationships between criterion measures of success, academic failure and non-academic withdrawal with personal measures.
