Abstract
The effectiveness of a procedure to eliminate inappropriate sleeping behavior was evaluated by multiple assessment, that is, S and his mother were asked to record the frequency of occurrence of his behavior. S was a 17-yr.-old boy who had had sleeping difficulty for 2 yr. One of the major difficulties, disturbing the mother prior to bedtime, was completely eliminated within 8 wk. Other undesirable behaviors were reduced sharply. The significance of multiple assessment lies in detection of possible side effects of behavior modification.
