One of a series of small studies aimed at understanding personality development among Roman Catholic sisters and priests. Philosophies of Human Nature Scale (PHN) was administered to 30 nuns, ranging in age from 22 to 50 yr. (M = 37.10). Means and standard deviations for each of the 6 dimensions and two subscales indicated unusually high Trustworthiness and Strength of Will scores and an extremely low Independence score. Areas of research were discussed.
