Abstract
The Motivational Analysis Test was administered prior and subsequent to an experimental manipulation designed to increase the Fear erg for 74 Ss. A control group (N = 33) received a filler task during the manipulation period. A pilot study showed no significant main effect of pretest or significant pretest-treatment interaction. There was a significant treatment by occasion interaction for the Unintegrated MAT Fear score, as hypothesized. The results are briefly discussed in terms of the content of the subscales.
