Abstract
A multitrait-multimethod study was conducted with 50 Ss. Three traits (Cognitive complexity, Achievement and Adjustment) and two methods (True-False and Projective) were employed. The results were: (a) discriminant support for the traits, (b) significant method variance was present for all three traits, and (c) convergent support was found for Adjustment but not for Complexity or Achievement. It was concluded that the two measures of Complexity did not converge upon the same underlying psychological construct.
