Abstract
Objective personality assessment instruments and data have been noted by many behaviorists as urgently needed to improve the efficiency of behavioral techniques for achieving target behaviors. Token economy, as an observable society, offers an excellent opportunity to validate objective personality assessment instruments. The Children's Minimal Social Behavior Scale (CMSBS) was selected because of its large range, high ceiling, objectivity, and verbal, verbal-motor, and motor-behavioral scores. 46 male chronic schizophrenic Ss were studied to determine the relationships between CMSBS scores, patient history variables, and token economy placement, history and behaviors. CMSBS scores were valid indicators of patient history and token economy variables.
