Abstract
A study was made of MMPI profiles of 22 girls who have stayed in the convent and 12 who have left. The results indicated no significant differences between two groups who have remained in the convent differing lengths of time. Significant differences were obtained on Scales L, Pd, Sc, Ma, and Si, with the group who left scoring higher on Pd, Sc, and Ma and lower on L and Si. The results suggest that those who left were more immature, rebellious, and impulsive. These data are consistent with those obtained with male seminarians.
