A table giving values of ω (strength of statistical association) is presented for the independent sample t test. The use of this table will enable the researcher to report the percentage of variance in the dependent variable accounted for by the independent variable. Judgments of the import of experimental results are more appropriately based on the magnitude of ω than on level of significance, t, or sample size.
