Abstract
Normative data for the Personality Research Form (PRF) were reported on 4 different age groups of 377 hospitalized male alcoholics. Significant differences of means among age groups were found on 15 of the 22 personality scales. In comparison with a control group, alcoholics score significantly higher in Abasement, Affiliation, Cognitive Structure, Harmavoidance, Nurturance, Order, and Succorance, but significantly lower in Achievement, Aggression, Autonomy, Change, Dominance, Endurance, Exhibition, Play, and Sentience.
