On the basis of correlations between test-retest scores of 45 university students over a nine-week period, the test-retest reliability of scales in Book IA of the EPI was judged satisfactory. Inclusion of doubtful answers in the scale score did not alter the reliability or validity of the scale. The significance of these findings to users of the EPI and to those constructing objective personality tests was discussed.
