Correlations (.55 to .60) were obtained when CPQ Factor B and Lorge-Thorndike IQ scores were compared in 2 samples and 2 subsamples of school children in Grades 4 through 7. CPQ Factor B, like its counterparts in the adult 16 PF and the adolescent HSPQ, provides gross differentiation of intellectual level sufficient for purposes not requiring precise evaluation.
