Abstract
TPT allows the client wide latitude in deliberately choosing the behavior he wishes the therapist to engage in at any given time in the therapeutic relationship. Since the therapist's behavior is clearly within his control, the client can move as rapidly or slowly as he is able with minimized interference and maximized facilitation within the therapeutic process. Intensity of therapist-client relationship promotes rapid and basic therapeutic change.
