Abstract
Social dominance was measured in 30 Whitetail antelope squirrels (Citellus leucurus) by placing two animals at a time in a small enclosure and observing which was most often on top of the other. Hierarchies established in such fashion were quite stable across a few days but less reliable across a 3-mo. period.
