6 Es, half of whom expected +5 ratings from their Ss on a photo-rating task and half of whom expected −5 ratings, each contacted 6 Ss in a replication of Rosenthal's (1966) basic E-expectancy research paradigm. Although virtually identical procedures were used in this study, the previously reported effects were not found.
