A number of studies have investigated the personality characteristics of teacher trainees using various instruments. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the 6 factors of docility, introversion-extroversion, authoritarianism, compulsive conformity, avoidance, and dependency are functions of the instruments or are particular to trainees in education.
