The Sandler A statistic, which is rigorously derived from the Student t ratio for correlated samples, has been found to reduce the computation required for arriving at statistical decisions. The present paper extends the use of the Sandler A statistic to test statistical hypotheses where the Student t ratio, one-sample case, is appropriate. Statistical decisions are identical to those arrived at by use of the Student t ratio.
