Abstract
Women were asked early in pregnancy to rate in intensity a list of 31 symptoms (e.g., depression, insomnia, heartburn) each evening for the duration of their pregnancies. Each S was given a Pregnancy Symptom Diary which was a loose leaf binder with a number of sheets (adequate to complete the pregnancy) each containing the list of symptoms. Ss removed completed pages every 2 wk. and mailed them to the investigator. For a group of 20 women a mean of 129 pages were completed. Longitudinal trends of the various symptoms are described.
