Mice treated with LSD-25 showed a marked attenuation of gross locomotor activity by 15 min. following injection, as compared with saline-treated controls. This effect was paralleled by intracerebral injection of adrenochrome; the level of brain adrenochrome was elevated in LSD-treated mice and correlated with the attenuated locomotor activity.
