83 hospitalized schizophrenics were given verbal conditioning trials after 8 wk. of treatment with fluphenazine, triflupromazine, or phenobarbital. Within each drug group, Ss were assigned to an experimental or control group. Only the phenobarbital group showed a significant conditioning effect.
