Abstract
Statistical evidence based on observer ratings of 61 Ss, on three teacher personality dimensions, over a 2- to 6-yr. period, supports the hypothesis of stability of measured teacher characteristics under proper and reliable methods of analysis. These methods include adjustment of ratings for rater bias. Correlations for two dimensions (Understanding-friendly and Responsible-businesslike) ranged from .62 to .86. One dimension (Stimulating-imaginative) showed significantly lower correlations.
