A text-handling computer program provides a method of analyzing verbatim transcript records, allowing measurement of significant regularities and structure in the verbal content of interviews. Factor analysis of data from successive sections of the script is used to describe meaningful concerns of the speaker as shown in his verbal productions, and factor scores indicate shifts in these concerns across time.
