This article is a summary of tasks required of forensic pathology fellowship program directors and puts forth the idea that the amount of effort and time required to comply with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements is excessive for the nature of the discipline and the small number and size of existing programs. Suggestions are made for how to simplify the fellowship director process yet not adversely impact on training.
