Abstract
The executive who is appalled by urban unrest and poverty problems may be tempted to put them aside when he sees their complexity and magnitude and the limited capacities of himself and his company to work on their solution. On the other hand, even though there are no evident answers to the problems, business does have the capacity for producing some solutions if it sees the problems in proper perspective. The author provides an example of one project created by middle management in his company.
