Abstract
A special commemorative committee has been organized as a tribute to the tenth anniversary of the death (November 17, 1959) of the distinguished Brazilian composer, Heitor Villa-Lobos. The honorary members of the committee are Galo Plaza Lassa, secretary-general of the Organization of American States, Pablo Casals, Artur Rubinstein, and Leopold Stokowski. The committee has been organized for the purpose of making known the works of Villa-Lobos, of defining the availability of his published works, and of encouraging performance of his music.
