Abstract
In the spring of 1967, the Music Educators National Conference asked fifteen prominent Americans to comment on “what music means to me” as the basis for a series of public-service radio spots. (For a complete statement concerning this project, see pages 58 and 59 of the September issue of the Journal.) The following is a transcript of the interview that Jack Vaughn, Director of the Peace Corps, gave to Mrs. Joan Gaines, MENC Director of Public Relations.
