Abstract
On March 11, 1966, the State Board of Education in California, working upon the suggestions of the California Music Educators Association and other groups, took action upon the situation caused by the legislative mandating of curriculum (See the September-October 1965 issue, pp. 51-55, and the JuneJuly 1966 issue, p. 1181. The following resolution is one sfep, but an important one, in the direction of strengthening the California State Department in the Arts and Humanities.
