This is the first of the seven chapters in the current new publication of the Music Educators National Confer. ence, Music in Senior High School, report of Music in American Life Commission VI, Wayne S. Hertz, general chairman. Details regarding the other six chapters of the report will be found on another page of this issue. Commission VI, “Music in Senior High School,” was one of the ten Music in American Life Commissions which served during the two bienniums, 1954-1958.
