Abstract
AN interesting discussion of a timely topic is presented in this condensation of Robert Nye's doctoral thesis completed in August 1949 for the, University of Wisconsin. Formerly music consultant at Highland Park, Illinois, and a member of the staff of the Summer Music Clinic at the University of Wisconsin for the past three summers, Dr. Nye is now professor of music at the State Teachers College in Florence, Alabama.
