Editor's Note: At the suggestion of David C. King of Boston, the editor recently wrote Mr. George Sutherland of Allan and Co., Ltd., Melbourne, asking for an article on the development of band work in Melbourne—a striking example of the help which a commercial house can give to an educational movement.
