Abstract
This article considers the implications of the OISE/UT document Watching and Learning: Evaluation of the Implementation of the National Literacy and Numeracy Strategies (Earl et al., 2000) for the Learning and Teaching Support Network as a whole. The Earl et al. (2000) article was discussed at a workshop moderated by LTSN Psychology, “Effecting system change: The experience of primary schools”, at the LTSN Annual Conference, 2001. It should be noted that the current paper is based on contributions from members of various subject centres of the LTSN who attended the workshop. The views should therefore not be taken to necessarily represent those of LTSN Psychology.
