There is a natural unique relationship between non-verbal communications and visual media such as television and film. Because of the unique characteristics of non-verbal communications they cannot be taught in the same way as verbal communications. Visual media will have to be used extensively—almost exclusively—as well as other methods requiring special teaching skills. Teachers of educational media will play a key role in preparing teachers of non-verbal communications.
