Abstract
This study investigated the use of the World Wide Web (WWW) for instruction by two groups of teachers: teachers who are naïve or knowledgeable about the Web. Both groups of teachers' characteristics and associated information-seeking strategies for using a hypermedia information system such as the WWW were identified. The teachers' instructional application strategies for applying Web-based information were studied. This study found that WWW-knowledgeable teachers were able to utilize advanced application strategies and higher-level learning activities for teaching, and their application strategies were reflexive.
