Abstract
Results of preliminary field work with a number of educational agencies in the Atlanta area attempting to assess the interest of key decisionmakers in such agencies in systems analysis approaches to problems and the level of problem with which such interest is embraced is reported. Individuals interviewed include those representing a number of large public school systems, Regents' staff of a State University System, a State Education Department, as well as several state legislators in an attempt to 1) clearly identify and factually buttress the various policy level problems facing these agencies through their commentary, and 2) to assess their interest in analytical solution approaches to such problems.
