Abstract
Based on experiences during a year recently spent in Israel, two approaches to using the computer as a tool of instruction are suggested. One approach is to institute centralized facilities for an entire school district to which students are bussed when necessary. Within this approach elaborate use is made of mark-sense cards for programming and data input. The other approach is the use of movable minicomputers within schools for those applications which absolutely require “in-class” computer use.
