Abstract
The era when one or two isolated computer courses are a standard part of many curricula is rapidly drawing to a close. More and more educators are recognizing that the growing use of computers in nearly every aspect of life must be reflected in education. As a consequence, many schools are revising their curricula so that computers are effectively being integrated into the educational process. This article discusses the experience at Stevens Institute of Technology where one of the fundamental concepts used in revising the engineering curriculum was that a strong computer thread exist throughout this curriculum.
