Abstract
The author here distills his long-time personal experience with the deleterious effects of globalization on health and on the health sector reforms embarked on in many of the more than 50 countries where he has worked in the last 25 years. He highlights the role that the “human right to health” framework can and should play in countering globalization's negative effects on health and in shaping future health policy.
