This article reviews the process of compiling a bibliography of feminist visions: the challenge, the contradictions and the promise. The authors address the question: Why image feminist visions at a time when women's realities are so dismal? In response we address how visions enable a more critical look at reality, a better grasp of possibility and a clearer understanding of political dynamics as they affect the lives of women.
