Abstract
In July 1996, a mail survey was sent to enrollment managers at 500 two- and four-year undergraduate institutions. The purpose of this study was to determine which enrollment management effectiveness factors are most related to institutional enrollment performance. Findings suggest that participation and integration is most related to enrollment performance. Other key factors related to enrollment performance include assessment, definitions and classifications, evaluation, key performance indicators, and strategies. Recommendations are offered at the institutional level for enrollment managers and other higher education leaders.
