Abstract
The PRIDE Program is an integral part of the Comprehensive Health Education of the Dade County Schools. It affords students the opportunity to develop skills in what has become known as the “affective domain.”
The PRIDE Program encompasses youngsters in grades K-12 and is designed to prevent problems rather than deal with them after the fact. The PRIDE Program involves 250,000 youngsters, teachers, parents and numerous social agencies in a comprehensive approach to problem-solving, decision making and personal growth.
