Audio visual media techniques for helping in the teaching of English are discussed in this article under the headings of Transparencies, Filmstrips, and Motion Picture Film. A sample study unit for Shakespeare is given to illustrate the important role educational media can play in reinforcing learning. Several specific teaching/learning techniques using filmstrips, Super 8mm movies, slides and transparencies are given. The point that various educational media are techniques for involving students fully in the learning process is stressed.
