Abstract
Evaluation of the effectiveness of community based storefront drug treatment prevention agencies is generally lacking in the literature. A five step procedure is outlined as a model for evaluation of such agencies. Expectation of staff activities for a given period of time was projected by Program Directors. Daily log sheets of activities were collected for staff and they were compared to the projections. A six category code was developed to describe staff activities. The method has been useful in evaluating the ability of a community drug abuse agency to organize it's activities to meet its programmatic goals.
