Abstract
The school health nurse has played a variety of roles in school drug programs. For some of these tasks, she has been well suited, while, for others, she has been less prepared. The school health nurse, because of her basic role as the health authority in the school and her special preparation in the knowledge and use of drugs, is a valuable potential resource for any school drug program.
