Abstract
The relationships between role perceptions and job satisfaction were studied. Such perceptions included perceived importance of the military prevention specialist role vis-a-vis substance abuse prevention, organizational efficiency, and supervisory interest [1–3]. Perceived importance of the prevention duty for substance abuse prevention and organizational efficiency were primarily related to job satisfaction. Perception of the supervisor's emphasis upon the prevention duty was significant but secondary.
