Abstract
The field of drug abuse treatment and prevention is a cross-disciplinary endeavor involving a number of service agencies. The Duke University Drug Abuse Reference Project (DUDARP) is a system for personalizing a list of resource materials for professionals in the area. References to books, articles, manuals, and workbooks are coded and entered into a mini-computer. Trainees can obtain an individualized bibliography by filling out a request form describing their background and interests. The computer can select one of over 2000 reading lists on the basis of this information.
