Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) presents a chance to shift from traditional operations to intelligent operations, encompassing a wide range of tasks for information and learning resource centres (ILRCs). By incorporating IoT technologies into ILRCs, there can be a significant enhancement in conventional information services, leading to improved user experiences and operational effectiveness. This article delves into the definition of IoT and its various applications within ILRCs, intending to offer a comprehensive understanding of its advantages and impacts. Through an in-depth examination of existing literature, this study outlines its influence on ILRC services and suggests the paths for integrating IoT to better meet user needs. With the applications of IoT, the ILRCs have the potential to transform into vibrant centres of innovation and interaction, addressing the varied requirements of modern users.
