Abstract
The migration experiences of Dominican and Korean immigrants are analyzed through a conceptual tool applicable to immigrants from different nations, global regions, and cultures. Experiences in the country of origin and destination are highlighted. Discussion includes reasons for migration and premigration experiences and resettlement experiences relating to marital and intergenerational conflict, employment, language, culture, belief systems, help-seeking behavior, and reception in the United States. Implications for services are presented.
