Abstract
An increase in homelessness among single mothers and their children has led to an Increasing need for the provision of clinical social work services in homeless shelters. This article presents a short-term feminist approach to Intervention utilized In a homeless shelter in work with mothers. This approach includes concepts from both feminist thought and postmodernism. Techniques include classical social work techniques of listening, insight, and support A single case is presented as an example of how this approach may be utilized.
