Abstract
The analytic and spectroscopic potential of a new, reflection mode photopyroelectric technique (RPPE) applied to fluorescent layered materials is demonstrated and validated by alternative optical measurements. The theoretical model defines three conversion efficiencies characterizing the sample at the macro- and microscopic levels. The experimental spectral data allow for the identification of the dye inks as containing Rhodamine B and Coumarin 6. Adverse effects for the fluorescence efficiency in the case of solid layers are also investigated and discussed.
